Hi,

My name is Amy, I am the owner and photographer for Amy Petris Photography. I am the person you see behind the camera. I started my business back in 2013 when I lived in the panhandle of fl. Where I also I earned my A.S. degree in early childhood education in 2002. I have worked with kids since I was 18, and one day decided to put my two loves together photography and children, and start my children’s photography business.

Late 2013 our family moved to Atlanta with my husband’s job, and that’s where I found my love for street photography. While in ATL I had to take a break from photographing children while I healed. I was in a bad wreck that caused a back injury that required surgery plates and screws being placed in my back. I had a long road ahead of me and a long recovery. Once I was back on my feet again, I decided I take a job at a local aquarium where I took a job in the education department to work with kids again and animals.

After 6 years in ATL, we decided it was time to move on, and that’s how I found my way to Maricopa. We just finished building our dream home in August 2020. Along with that I made sure I was going to have a studio space where I could aspire to make my dreams come back to life.

As of Feb 1, 2021 I opened my doors to my studio and invited the community in to see what Amy Petris Photography studio was all about. So here we are, I am excited to be able to pursue my dreams once again. I look forward to meeting all of you and capturing memories. They go by so fast when children are little. I want you to cherish those memories forever by hanging them on your walls.
